The protest coincided with the Prime Minister's address to the public at Churachandpur Peace Ground.
Carrying banners and placards with slogans such as "Manipur is not a playground", "Absent in tragedy, present in strategy," and "Ignored our tears, arrived for benefit," the MPP youth wing volunteers attempted to march towards Kangla Fort, where Prime Minister Modi was scheduled to address an event.
However, they were intercepted by a police team near the main entrance gate of their office complex.
The volunteers raised slogans, including "Prime Minister Narendra Modi Down Down" and "Without any agenda, not welcome," expressing their discontent with the visit.
