SIMS gives first aid training to AT unit

Saina Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) has given first aid training to members of Arambai Tenggol Nambol Unit and organised a free medical camp at Nambol Khoriphaba Laibung, Bishnupur district today.
Village volunteers, members of Arambai Tenggol guarding villages often come under attack from Kuki militants.
The training was given to familiarise them with the techniques of giving first aid which can save lives in emergency situations, said former managing director of SIMS, Dr S Kumar.
He said the members of Arambai Tenggol constantly face danger of being attacked when they are guarding villages.

They may get shot and injured in firing by Kuki militants.
Knowing the techniques of first aid may save the lives of their colleagues, he added.
Arambai Tenggol Nam-bol Unit commander Rajesh Sarangthem appreciated the Saina Institute of Medical Sciences' "Helping Group" for giving the first aid training to the volunteers.
The first aid training is a must have knowledge for all volunteers guarding villages in the peripheries of the valley areas.
The training will help save lives of people in emergency, he said.
Rajesh requested SIMS to provide similar training to other units of the Arambai Tenggol which are guarding villages in the periphery areas of the valley.
