NSUC executives take oath, prioritise quality education

The newly elected executives of the Naga Students' Union, Chandel (NSUC) took their oath of office on Saturday in a modest ceremony held at the district headquarters.
The election for the new executive body for the term 2024-27 was conducted on January 29 at the NSUC office in Chandel.
The office-bearers include Ruwnglar Elly Anal as president, Parton Parpa as vice-president, Sungnem Bungpem as general secretary, Khiang Punem as finance secretary, and Lk Larningam as education secretary.
Addressing the gathering, president Ruwnglar outlined his commitment to bring quality education with special emphasis on elementary, secondary, and higher education.
He also pledged to work for preserving and enriching the cultural heritage of the Nagas in Chandel while underscoring the importance of maintaining harmony, unity, and integrity within the union.
Calling for unity within the student community, he urged everyone to come together as one family and further vowed to work towards the betterment of the district, focusing on basic infrastructure and the overall upgrade of the NSUC.
Outgoing president SK Joseph Lamkang extended gratitude to his executive team for their support during his term, congratulated the newly elected members, offered his best wishes for their future endeavours and encouraged them to propel the NSUC towards continued success.
