Red Shield Div's Wushu coaching camp commences in Bishnupur

A Wushu Coaching Camp and Competition organised by the Red Shield Division of Indian Army in coordination with Wushu Association of Manipur commenced on Sunday at Tronglaobi village of Bishnupur district.
The camp is being organised to provide free coaching to 35 young aspirants of Bishnupur district to hone their skills in one of the most popular sports in Manipur and to promote sense of discipline, sportsmanship and physical fitness amongst the youth.
The event will span over a period of seven days, from February 4-10, 2024 and will culminate with a state level championship, wherein around 150 players of different age groups and weight categories are expected to participate.
The event will go a long way to foster healthy and competitive spirit amongst the youth of the state and also strengthen the bond and friendship between Indian Army and local populace, a press release from the Red Shield Division said on Sunday.
