Imphal, January 29 2024:
Ramakrishna Mission, Babupara, Imphal on Saturday distributed 350 kgs of potato sprouts, 120 kgs green pea seeds, 35 kgs rajma seeds and 20 kgs coriander seeds, as collective livelihood support for the economically distressed farmers in Sugnu under Kakching district, which has been one of the worst affected by the ongoing crisis.
According to a press statement, Ramakrishna Mission had distributed 1105 thermal vests, 422 thermal trousers, 661 pairs of winter socks, 170 shawls, 95 blankets, 16 pairs of footwears, along with food ration (biscuits, pulses, soyabean, milk powder, Mothers' Horlicks, infant formula milk among others) and other miscellaneous items at 19 relief camps and 4 other areas in Bishnupur, Kakching, Imphal East & Imphal West districts during the current month, benefiting 3124 individuals from 1181 affected families.
Since May last year, Ramakrishna Mission has been relentlessly making efforts to serve the affected people, the statement said, while reiterating deepest sympathies for those affected by the ongoing crisis and offering prayers to the Almighty God for their well-being.
