Imphal, May 07 2025:
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Manipur Pradesh, has praised the Indian Army for its decisive and well-executed of "Operation Sindoor", following a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam region of Jammu and Kashmir.
The attack claimed the lives of 25 Indian civilians and one Nepali national.
According to an ABVP release, under "Operation Sindoor", the Indian Army strategically neutralised nine major terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Notably, no Pakistani military installation was targeted during the operation, reflecting India's diplomatic prudence, military discipline, and adherence to international norms.
ABVP hailed the strike as a firm reaffirmation of India's 'Zero Tolerance' policy towards terrorism.
"This is not merely a tactical retaliation but a meaningful step towards protecting national sovereignty and internal security," the organisation said.
Expressing solidarity with the armed forces, ABVP commended the courage, discipline, and strategic acumen demonstrated by the Indian Army.
"The youth of India stand united in support of our armed forces," it stated, adding that such action sends a clear signal to the international community that India will respond resolutely to acts of terror.
In parallel to its support for the Operation Sindoor, ABVP Manipur also took part in a nationwide emergency preparedness initiative.
A mock drill was held in Imphal West, with the participation of 40 ABVP volunteers.
Speaking at the event, state secretary Gautam Philem reiterated the organisation's commitment to public service during times of crisis.
He also underscored the importance of civil defence training and public awareness, praising the government for initiating such preparedness efforts across the country.
