Paid holiday declared for re-poll

Imphal, April 21 2024:
The state government has declared holiday for those public offices, educational institutions, and autonomous bodies among other and paid holiday for commercial/private undertakings located within the 11 polling stations of the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, which will undergo re-poll on Monday, in order to enable them to exercise right of franchise.
An order issued by deputy secretary, general administrative department, said that labour commissioner cum secretary shall make necessary arrangements with all private enterprises, industrial centres and other institutions to declare Monday as paid holiday for their employees residing in the areas covered by the 11 polling stations.
No deduction or abatement of wages for any such persons shall be made on account of holiday granted for the re-poll.
Mention may be made that the Election Commission of India ordered re-poll in 3/11 Moirangkampu Sajeb Upper Primary School, 3/21 S Ibobi Primary School (East Wing), Khurai Thangjam Leikai in Khurai assembly constituency; 4/43 Bamon Kampu Upper Primary School (North A), 4/44 Pioneer Academy, Bamon Kampu (North-B), 4/45 Irilbung High School (North Wing), Bamon Kampu (South West), 4/46 Irilbung High School (South Wing), Bamon Kampu (South East) in Kshetrigao assembly constituency; 5/31 National Children's School, Khongman Zone (V)-A in Thongju AC; 10/1 Iroisemba Upper Primary School (Eastern Wing), 10/6 Iroisemba UPS (Western Wing), & 10/7 Iroisemba UPS (Middle Wing) in Uripok AC; and 18/22 Khaidem Primary School (Southern Wing), Khaidem Makha in Konthoujam AC.
The re-poll will be held on Monday from 7 am to 5 pm .
