Senapati, March 25 2025:
As part of the ongoing 'Clean Senapati River Campaign', Senapati district administration conducted a joint cleanliness drive on Tuesday along the stretch from Senapati Bridge to Monday Market Bridge, under the theme 'Keep it Clean, Keep it Flowing' .
The cleanliness drive was led by Senapati deputy commissioner Mamoni Doley and supported by ADM/ADC Rang David Kung, ADC CEO Adahrii Maheo, and DRDA, Senapati project director PP Ronald.
The drive focused on identified black spots - areas where substantial quantities of waste had accumulated - and on addressing unfinished sections from the previous cleanliness effort along the same stretch of the river.

Local authorities and youth clubs were also instructed to maintain vigil to prevent pollution of the river.
Around 500 participants collected nearly 20 tonnes of mixed waste, which was subsequently disposed of at a designated site by the Karong Senapati Town Committee.
The Clean Senapati River Campaign, spearheaded by the district administration, aims to restore and preserve the Senapati River, which serves as a vital water resource for the town.
This initiative represents a significant step towards environmental conservation, ensuring that river pollution is controlled and that the waterway remains sustainable for future generations.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness, foster community engagement, and encourage collective action in combating pollution and promoting river conservation.
It envisions a collaborative effort involving the district administration, ADC, KSTC, CSOs, village and community leaders, and volunteers.
Activities include river clean-up drives, awareness campaigns, and the use of social media to amplify the message of environmental responsibility.
