Assam Rifles provides emergency medical aid to injured child

Reaffirming its steadfast commitment to humanitarian service and the welfare of the local populace, Assam Rifles provided emergency medical assistance to an eight-year-old boy who was injured in a road accident at Zoldam Village in Chandel district on Saturday.
According to a statement issued by IGAR (South), the child sustained multiple injuries after being accidentally hit by a vehicle, suffering swelling and abrasions on his forehead, ankles and lower back, besides a painful swollen left ankle.
On receiving information about the incident, an Assam Rifles medical team rushed to the spot and carried out a rapid assessment.
Displaying exemplary dedication and compassion, a nursing assistant administered first aid, stabilised the child and arranged for his immediate evacuation.
The child was later referred to the Community Health Centre, Churachandpur, for specialised medical examination and further treatment.
The statement said the timely intervention by Assam Rifles ensured that the child received prompt medical care, reducing the risk of complications and providing much-needed reassurance to his family.
It added that Assam Rifles continues to extend humanitarian assistance to people in remote areas while carrying out its operational responsibilities across the region.
