Imphal, August 05 2023:
Juvenile Educational and Sportive Association (JESA), Samurou Mamang Leikai lamented inability of the 50 MLAs to work as per the wishes of the people and in the interest of the state.
A programme in honour of RPI (Athawale) national general secretary Maheshwar Thounaojam for his relentless and untiring work for narrating the truth of the present crisis in Manipur not only to the people of mainland India but to the whole world, was held at the Keishampat Aheibam Leikai residence of the politician on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, JESA executive member Naorem Shyama contended that the conflict situation is fallout of the attacks by Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists on Meeteis.
The MLAs who representatives of the people have not been able to perform their work as expected and aspired by the people and in the interest of the state which is very unfortunate.
The 50 MLAs need to exhibit commitment and sincerity in ending the crisis failing which the public would definitely teach them a bitter lesson in the next election, he cautioned.
Shyama also expressed gratitude to Maheshwar for revealing to the world the truth behind the present crisis and pledged that JESA and meira paibi groups of Shamurou will support Maheshwar in all his activities as well to all fighting against the armed Kuki militants.
