Imphal, August 05 2023:
The State Assembly is the only place where all parties can hold discussions to bring about a solution to end the present crisis and restore peace in Manipur, said CPI National Secretary Pallab Sengupta.
Proper dialogues and discussions are a must to end the present crisis and restore peace in Manipur and the only suitable place for holding such constructive discussions is the State Assembly, said the CPI leader speaking to reporters at Irawat Bhawan today.
Pallab Sengupta said Manipur is a beautiful State but the present bloody clash has cast a long shadow over the image of the place.

Elected Members of all political parties should take part in discussions in the Assembly session without any conditions and initiate dialogues and reconciliation process to bring peace, he said.
Now is not the time to ask who has killed who and how.
All should ask the how peace can be brought in Manipur, he added.
Even after three months of violence, the tension has not subsided.
Many have been killed, however, it is appalling that the Prime Minister who finds time to tour many countries has not found time to come to Parliament and speak on the Manipur issue, said Pallab Sengupta.
He said the CPI first demanded the Government to hold an Assembly session sensing the importance of closing the divide between the communities and urgency to start a reconciliation process.
Both the communities concerned should hold proper dialogues to end the violence and find a solution.
The Assembly is the place where a solution can be worked out, he said, appealing to the MLAs of all political parties to attend the Assembly Session called on August 21 without any conditions in the interest of bringing peace and finding a solution.
Pallab Sengupta specifically urged the Kuki MLAs to reconsider their decision and to attend the Assembly session on August 21 and table their issues in the Assembly and discuss them.
The Assembly is a place where all issues can be discussed, he said.
Pallab Sengupta informed that the CPI has held an Extended State Council Meeting and discussed ways to find a solution to the crisis.
The party's priority is bringing peace in Manipur and protecting the State's integrity, he said.
Rajya Sabha MP P Sandosh Kumar, who was present at the press meet also urged all MLAs to attend the Assembly session and start the reconciliation process.
CPI Manipur State Council secretary L Thoiren and many party leaders were present in the press meet.
