Ukhrul FC launches Ukl-lmp Winger service

Ukhrul, December 24 2024: Ukhrul Football Club (UFC) officially launched its Ukhrul-Imphal passenger Winger service FC Travels on Tuesday, marking the occasion with a one-day special free ride service for passengers traveling between the two locations as a Christmas gift.

The new passenger service was launched by LM Block SDO Ngamreiwung Luithui at the Mini Secretariat campus in the presence of Chingai SDO Roland Ningshen, UFC executive director Khareithan Phungchamnao, renowned national football player & UFC technical manager Reisangmi Vashum, managing director Angaritsing Zimik, UFC Board members, Langdang pastor and well-wishers.

Speaking at the launch programme, Ngamreiwung Luithui recalled the impressive journey of the UFC and its significant contribution to the growth of football in the Tangkhul community.

He also exuded hope that the newly launched taxi service would prove beneficial for the public and a successful venture for the UFC as well.

UFC executive director Khareithan Phungchamnao, shared the club's vision behind launching the passenger service.

He noted that UFC was built on a solid foundation, supported by government employees, professionals, social work-ers, and passionate football fans.

"To sustain the club's operations and fund its activities, we devised a plan to offer passenger services to the public," Khareithan explained.

He said that the initiative is not ju,st a means of generating funds but also a way of giving back to the community, while adding that "Today's free Christmas drive is our way of spreading joy and ensuring that everyone, especially the needy, can travel comfortably between Ukhrul and Imphal" .

UFC has partnered with Shatshang Capital Winger Service for its passenger service, which .will operate daily with departures from Ukhrul at 11 am and returning from Imphal at 5 pm.

The pickup point in Ukhrul is the Ukhrul Central School, Phungreit ang, while in Imphal, it will be at ISBT Khuman Lampak.
