Governor chairs 1st 'Governor-in-Council' meeting

Imphal, March 25 2025: Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, chaired the first meeting of the 'Gov-ernor-in-Council' on Tuesday at the conference hall of Raj Bhavan, here.

The meeting was attended by the chief secretary, principal secretaries, commissioners, and administrative secretaries of various departments.

Several agenda proposals related to developmental and governance matters were discussed and approved during the meeting.

Later in the evening, National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) managing director Dr Krishnan Kumar, along with executive director MS Deval, called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan.

During the meeting, the officers provided an update on the progress of various national highway development projects underway in the state and highlighted key challenges faced by NHIDCL in accelerating project execution.

The Governor directed the officials to take necessary measures to address these challenges and ensure the timely completion of the projects, informed a statement issued by Governor's secretariat.
