Imphal, March 07 2025:
AICC Manipur in-charge Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka has alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah do not want the violence in the state to end with an apparent intent to capitalise on the situation.
Addressing media persons at Congress Bhawan, here, on Friday, Ulaka said the violence in Manipur has persisted for nearly two years, yet PM Modi has not only failed to visit the state to resolve the crisis but has also remained silent.

Instead of finding solution, chief minister of the state was forced resign and President's Rule imposed, he rued, adding that imposition of PR exposes BJP's inability to govern effectively and maintain law and order, particularly in handling highway blockades and civil unrest.
According to Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, both Modi and Amit Shah do not want to bring an end to the violence in Manipur.
Rather, they seem to be contented with continuation of the crisis so as exploit resources of the land unknown to the people, he added.
The press conference was also attended by CLP leader Okram Ibobi Singh, CWC member Gaikhangam, MPCC president K Meghachandra and AICC secretary Christopher Tilak among others.
