Combined teams of state police and central forces continued to conduct search operations in the vulnerable and fringe areas of both valley and hill districts of the state on Tuesday.
According to a press note issued by the Police Control Room of Manipur Police, the combined teams recovered four arms and 50 rounds of ammunition during the search operations carried out on Tuesday.
A total of 305 bunkers have been destroyed till date by state police and central forces in both hill and valley areas.
Around 128 Nakas/check-points were installed in different areas of both the hill and valley districts of the state and 449 people detained for curfew violations.
Movement of 440 vehicles on NH-37 and 325 vehicles on NH-2 with essential items were ensured under strict security measures.
The Control Room then appealed to the general public not to believe in rumours and to confirm any circulation of unfounded videos, etc., from the rumour free number 9233522822.It further appealed to the public to return looted arms, ammunition and explosives to police or nearest security forces immediately.
