Thang-Ta show enthrals PM Modi, Smriti Irani

Thang-Ta performance has enthralled Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union minister for women and child development Smriti Zubin Irani during the Veer Bal Diwas programme held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi on Monday.
The Thang-Ta was performed by a joint team of Manipur, Kerala and Punjab.
The state team consisted of 16 students of Huyen Lallong Thang Ta Cultural Association led by JN Manipur Dance Academy director P Bilash.
The team returned to Imphal on Wednesday.
Interacting with the media, Bilash said that the state team performed spectacularly at the event and won accolades from the audience.
It was a proud moment for the state, especially for the team that showcased the performance.
Impressed by the team during their rehearsal, union minister Smriti Irani presented one Rs 75 coin, souvenir coin minted to commemorate the 75 years of independence of India, each to the team members.
She also interacted with the martial artistes and narrated about her own brief career as an artiste while encouraging them to strive for success in their chosen held.
The minister granted them an opportunity to visit Rashtrapati Bhavan and PM Museum, Bilash said.
