RIMS language cell organises Hindi workshop

Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Official Language Cell organised a workshop on 'Hindi noting & drafting' at RIMS Banting Hall on Monday.
A release issued by RIMS informed that the workshop was aimed at enhancing Hindi language proficiency of officials and staff, particularly in official noting and drafting.
Speaking as the chief guest, RIMS director Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma emphasised the importance of linguistic diversity and inclusivity, and highlighted the need to preserve India's multilingual heritage for equal opportunities and better communication in research and healthcare.
The programme presided over by RIMS medical superintendent (i/c) Prof M Ra-meswar Singh was attended by prominent academicians, including Dhanamanjuri University Department of Hindi head Prof Rajkumar Mobi Singh and Manipur University Department of Hindi head Prof Akhilesh Kumar Shankhdhar as guests of honour.
They shared valuable insights on the importance of Hindi in official communication.
The workshop covered various aspects of official noting and drafting in Hindi, emphasising the practical application of the language in administrative work.
The participants actively engaged in discussions and interactive sessions, gaining in-depth knowledge and skills to improve their Hindi communication in official documentation, informed the release.
