IEC campaign on PM-DAJGUA, PM-JANMAN continues

Senapati district administration continued its saturation drive on the Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign for the Pradhan Mantri Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (PM-DAJGUA) and Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) for Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), including the Maram Tribe-India's largest tribal empowerment campaign.
The event was held on Thursday at Willong Khullen Old Church under Willong TD Block under the supervision of Willong block development officer (BDO), Reikimdaar Khaling.
The SDO and DLOs, and bank officials also participated in the campaign to ensure coverage of every household, raise awareness and facilitate access to rightful entitlements under the PM-DA-JGUA and PM-JANMAN initiatives.
Around 500 people from 23 villages within the block and surrounding areas attended the PM-DAJGUA and PM-JANMAN, India's largest tribal empowerment campaign.
During the campaign, approximately 18 stalls from various departments, including the BDO Willong, were set up for the public to access services and address grievances.
Later, the BDO distributed three Disability Cards (CMST) under the Social Welfare Department, hybrid vegetable seeds and pamphlets on horticultural practices from the Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department, and PVTG Cards to seven Maram tribe villages in the block: Willong Khullen, Willong Khunou, Kamalong, Pumdumlung, Rajamai, Shankungmai, and Shangkunglung.
Department officials also distributed tree saplings, high-yielding variety (HYV) seeds, micronutrients, and processed various application forms at the campaign site.
CHURACHANDPUR: The district administration, led by Churachandpur SDO Vidyamari Sridhar, on Thursday conducted the DAJGUA - Benefit Saturation Camps" at Lamka College for Lamka South Block.
The Benefit Saturation Campaign saw enthusiastic participation from district level officers, line department staff, village authorities, and a large number of residents from Lamka South TD Block.
Another DAJGUA campaign was also held at Singhat sub-division in Churachandpur district on Thursday under the supervision of Singhat SDO Samuel Tongminlen Lhungdim.
It brought together around 15 government departments at the YPA Hall to provide a wide range of public services.
A parallel awareness programme on drug abuse and illicit trafficking was conducted to educate the public on the dangers of substance misuse.
The event was jointly organised by the District Legal Services Authority in coordination with the district administration.
TENGNOUPAL: The DAJGUA campaign extended its reach to Laiching Maipou and Khukarthil villages under Machi sub-division of Tengnoupal district on Thursday.
The campaign was supervised by Machi SDO/BDO Md Nazmul Huda Khan.
A benefit saturation camp was attended by villagers from both villages, along with district-level officers from various departments of Tengnoupal district.
PHERZAWL: The Pherzawl district administration extended its outreach activities under the DAJGUA campaign to the villages of Sipuikawn, Lungthulien, Senvon, and Parbung in Tipaimukh Sub-Division.
By the end of the campaign, the initiative is expected to benefit over 4,000 tribal households across the district's three blocks.
The benefit saturation camps held in the four tribal-dominated districts provided platform for accessing government services, including the issuance of tribe and domicile certificates, Aadhaar card enrolment and updates, health checkups, AB-PMJAY, enrolment in social security schemes (such as PMJJBY, PMSBY, and APY), assistance with bank account opening, registration for the Farmer's Card, PM-KISAN, Ration Card applications, new LPG connections, livelihood schemes including MGNREGA, PM Vishwakarma, and Mudra loans, women and child welfare initiatives like PMMVY, ICDS benefits, and immunisation, as well as non-communicable disease (NCD) screenings, health check-ups, and medicine distribution, among others.
Alongside these camps, Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) drives were conducted to raise public awareness about government schemes and services.
District-level officers and their staff, village chairmen and secretaries, and residents attended the campaigns, aimed at provide a platform for villagers to avail themselves of benefits from various government schemes and receive assistance in resolving their queries and issues.
The campaign is an initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
To create awareness among the locals on the centrally sponsored welfare schemes and projects for the tribal population stalls were set up by departments including Medical, Social Welfare, IT, PHED, CAF & PD, Forest.
ICDS, Agriculture, Electricity Department, Education Department, etc .
