In a solemn yet uplifting ceremony, six vehicles, comprising three JCBs, one truck, and two two-wheelers were for-mally handed over to their rightful owners after having been retrieved and safeguarded during the ethnic unrest that erupted in May 2023.The owners had to abandon these vehicles in the border areas of Chandel District as they were being evacuated by Assam Rifles amidst the escalating violence in May - Jun 2023.Demonstrating exemplary resolve and compassion, Assam Rifles recovered and preserved the vehicles despite the ownership details not ascertained.
In January 2024, a few individuals approached Assam Rifles regarding ownership.

As part of the event, Assam Rifles also commemorated World Health Day by organising a comprehensive Health Awareness Camp under the theme "Health and Care".
The camp featured medical specialists from five disciplines - Ophthalmology (in collaboration with Medilane), ENT, Gynecology, Orthopedics, and Pediatrics - from Thoubal District Hospital, along with Medical Officers from Assam Rifles.
