Imphal, March 20 2025: The Sahitya Thoupang Lup (Sathoulup) has extended heartfelt condolences upon the passing of notable scholar, literary critic and cultural activist Professor Nongmaithem Tombi Singh.

In his honour, a solemn event was held at RKCS Art Gallery in Keishamthong on Thursday, organised by Sahitya Thoupang Lup.

During the event, members of Sahitya Thoupang Lup led by its chief patron RK Budhimanta observed two minutes of silence to pray for the departed soul to rest in peace.

The gathering remembered the numerous contributions made by Prof Nongmaithem Tombi Singh and shared the grief & pain of the bereaved families.

Meanwhile, the All Manipur Bar Association (AMBA) on Wednesday convened a condolence meeting at its office premises in Cheirap Court Complex, Imphal, to mourn the sudden demise of Advocate Maibam Tuleshori Devi.

The meeting was presided over by Puyam Tomcha Meetei.

During the meeting, members of AMBA expressed deep shock and condolence over the sudden demise of Advocate Maibam Tuleshori Devi who breathed her last on March 18, 2025.The gathering also shared the grief of the bereaved family and observed 2 minutes of silence as a mark to pray for the departed soul to rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
