Around 13-14 MLAs from Manipur including BJP and independent MLAs of the ruling government are also in Delhi to meet the Prime Minister and register complaints on indiscriminate attacks by Kuki militants on innocent civilians and burning down of their homes since May 3 .
According to a source, the 13-14 MLAs have been in Delhi since June 14 to meet the PM as per the people's wishes to do so instead of continuing to distribute relief materials and money amid the ongoing violence.
The MLAs will be meeting the PM within the next few days and apprising him on the ground reality and situation.
Meanwhile, leaders of 10 political parties numbering about 30 reached New Delhi on Friday for the proposed meeting with Prime Minister Modi.
In a release, Janata Dal (United) Manipur president Ksh Biren Singh informed that so far there has been no response and confirmation of appointment sought to the Prime Minister's Office.
However, leaders of the ten political parties are patiently waiting for the appointment as present crisis in Manipur has proved to be beyond the capacity of Manipur government, the president added.
According to the president, inaction and lack of seriousness on the part of the central government in spite of continuous violence and deaths of over 110 persons of two communities in Manipur, is highly regrettable.
"It is indeed inconceivable that the Prime Minister has remained completely silent on the crisis in Manipur, which may have national security implication," the president cautioned.
The political parties include Indian National Congress, Janata Dal (United), Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist), All India Trinamool Congress, All India Forward Bloc, Shiv Sena (UBT), Revolutionary Socialist Party of India Aam Aadmi Party and Nationalist Congress Party.
