Humanitarian aid extended

Nongpok Ningthou Panthoibi Development Committee, Keirao Bitra, today visited Raj Medicity and extended monetary aid to the people who were injured in one of the most violent attacks carried out by Kuki militants at Khamenlok.
A team led by Nongpok Ningthou Panthoibi Development Committee secretary Heikham Jadhumani visited Raj Medicity and handed over the monetary aid to the family members of the 14 injured persons who are currently receiving medical care at the hospital.
Later, the team went to JNIMS and handed over an amount of Rs 10,000 to the Director of JNIMS to help the injured people who are receiving medical treatment at the hospital.
The monetary assistance was provided with contributions from the people of Keirao Bitra area.
Heikham Jadumani was accompanied by members of 5 local clubs namely Irilbung Library Union, Keirao Khunou Youth Development Organisation, Panthoibi Youth Club, Youth Development Centre club, and Litan Makhong Youth Club.
Speaking to the media, Heikham Jadumani urged the Government to cancel the Suspension of Operation (SoO) with Kuki militant groups, recover the sophisticated weapons used by Kuki militants and implement NRC to end the violence in the State.
Meanwhile, Raj Medicity, a leading hospital in Manipur, has received a donation of life-saving drugs worth Rs 2 Lakh from W Joykumar, Area Sale Executive, Aristo Pharmaceutical Private Ltd, which will be used to treat injured patients affected by the ongoing violence in Manipur.
In a release, Raj Medicity informed that the drugs donated by Aristo Pharmaceuticals include essential medicines crucial for the free treatment of injured patients.
"These drugs will play a vital role in the efforts of Raj Medicity to provide free and effective treatment to all those who have been affected by the ongoing violence", it added.
Raj Medicity has extended its heartfelt gratitude to W Joykumar and Aristo Pharmaceuticals for kind and generous donation, which will go a long way in saving lives and helping those in need.
