Imphal, April 19 2026:
The Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has called for inclusive admission policies, urging institutions to reserve seats for students who have passed compartmental and improvement exams alongside high scorers.
In a press release issued today, the KSA outlined several issues related to the upcoming Class XI and undergraduate admissions in Manipur.
The student body requested all Government, aided, and private schools and colleges to refrain from issuing admission forms until the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) and the Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) officially declare the HSLC and Class XII exam results.
In light of the State's ongoing instability, the student body appealed for reduced fees for entrance exams and form submissions.
The KSA addressed the proliferation of private schools, noting that institutions must comply with the Manipur Private Schools Registration and Regulation Act, 2017/Rules, 2024, and avoid excessive fees.
The KSA indicated it would monitor adherence.
Finally, the KSA emphasized equal access, advising colleges against entrance exams focused solely on top marks and advocating for affordable processes that accommodate students across merit levels.
