Imphal, March 07 2025: Denouncing the crackdown on village volunteers by security forces, All Andro Meira Paibi Association staged a sit-in protest at Andro Kangjeibung today.

At the sit-in, the Meira Paibis strongly condemned the arrests and detention of village volunteers by security forces.

The Meira Paibis declared that village volunteers played a crucial role in defending the Meitei community from Kuki aggression, and vowed that the women of Meitei would stand in support of all village volunteers.

Demanding immediate cessation of combing operations carried out in different parts of the State, the Meira Paibis cautioned that further attempt to arrest village volunteers might trigger a third Nupi Lal.
