MSCW holds awareness prog on violence against women

Imphal, March 27 2025: Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) in association with All Santhel Women Development Association organised a one-day awareness programme on "Violence Against Women" at Santhel Bazar community hall on Thursday.

Around 120 men and women participated in the awareness programme held with MSCW chairperson Thumlip Tiningpham Monsang, members Lourembam Dayabati Devi and Sk Sophia Moyon, Hangul Gram Panchayat pradhan Md Sikandra Ali, and All Santhel Women Development Association secretary Najam Phundreimayum as the dignitaries on the dais.

In the technical session, Jametul Ulima Manipur secretary Mv Ruhul Amin spoke on the topic "Women and Islamic Laws" as Thumlip Monsang elaborated on values of knowing and understanding the formal knowledge of women and Islamic laws & legal rights of women.

She further appealed to the participants to work together in their respective capacities for the welfare of women and betterment of society as a whole.
