Frame looms, accessories distributed to displaced women

Imphal, March 07 2025: Weaver Service Centre, Porompat organised a "Distribution of Loom & Accessories" for displaced women taking shelter at Alternate Housing Complex, Langol Game VillageZone-3 today.

The programme was conducted under the aegis of the National Handloom Development Programme (NHDP) and sponsored by the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

It was attended by Weaver Service Centre Porompat, Deputy Director, P Daripa; SDC Lamphel, Yumnam Dhanendra; Technical Superintendent, Surendra and Lingjenthoibi Self Help Group Khongman Zone-2 secretary, B Asha Premi as presidium members.

Altogether, 23 loom frames and certificates were distributed to the displaced women staying at the Alternate Housing Complex.
