The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) Doctors' Cell organised a function at Uripok Khoisnam Leikai Community Hall.
Speaking as chief guest, former MPCC president Nameirakpam Loken said Manipur has faced unprecedented unrest since 2017 under BJP.
rule, citing prolonged conflict between communities and restrictions on highway movement.
He urged voters to choose dedicated candidates over wealthy ones in the upcoming Assembly polls, warning that continued BJP governance could fragment the State.
Dr Kh Loken, former Minister, appealed to the public to elect selfless representatives and reject money power.
Dr N Dwijamani, MPCC Doctors' Cell chairman and prospective Congress candidate from Uripok AC, said July 1 is observed annually to honour doctors' dedication, marking the birth anniversary of legendary physician and former West Bengal CM Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy.
He pledged to work for Uripok's development and serve people selflessly.
At the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organised at the Department of Transfusion Medicine building.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to all donors for their noble contribution.
Churachandpur Medical College, Imphal Campus, marked the day with the theme "Behind the Mask: Who Heals the Healers".
At the event, Director Prof Gangmei Angam highlighted the "often neglected reality" of burnout, trauma, and grief faced by healthcare workers.
"Healing the healer requires a multi-layered approach beyond the facade of resilience", he said, noting long shifts, emotional burden, and unsafe conditions erode well-being.
Prof Angam called for a collective shift to recognise that "the people behind the masks are human" and need the same compassion they offer others.
Like elsewhere in the country, the Indian Medical Association-Manipur State Branch observed the day at IMA House, Lamphelpat.
IMA-MSB president Dr Simpson Sareo, immediate past president Dr RK Lenin, vice-president Dr L Ranjit, CGP Faculty Director Dr James Elangbam, and state secretary Dr Akoijam Ibohal attended as presidium members.
