Waving the blue and rainbow Naga National Flag emblazoned with a star, the massive crowd welcomed the nonagenarian Naga leader on his return from his native village Somdal, where he had spent six days, a visit after six decades.
Delivering a brief yet emotional address, Ato Kilonser Muivah reaffirmed the Naga people's unwavering demand for self-determination and expressed deep gratitude to every tribe for their support and contribution.
The remainder of his message was read out by VS Atem.
Th Muivah reiterated that the solution to the Indo-Naga political issue shall be based on the Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015 .
He also said the signing of the Amsterdam Joint Communique of July 11, 2002 and the Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015 between the Government of India and the NSCN is an affirmation and acknowledgement of Nagalim's unique history and sovereignty.
According to Muivah, with the official signing of the two agreements, the desperate distortion of Nagalim's unique history by India and Myanmar, have been officially corrected and rectified by the Government of India.
"Hence, among others, the August 14, 1947 Nagalim independence declaration and the May 16, 1951 plebiscite for sovereign Nagalim have been officially recognized by the Government of India", he stated.
Muivah said the final negotiated political settlement between the Government of India and the NSCN representing Nagalim shall be according to the uniqueness of Nagalim history.
"It means that a new relationship of sharing of sovereign power shall be according to the sovereign Nagalim's unique history, duly inclusive of Naga National Flag and Naga National Constitution", he added.
"The new relationship of sharing of sovereign power shall not be defined by the Constitution of India and Myanmar but by the political agreement of the two sovereign entities, and it shall be outside the Union and Constitution of India and Burma (Myanmar)", he added.
Muivah said that Nagas must be sufficiently warned of the Indian State strategy of divide and conquer through distortion and perversion of the letter and spirit of the Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015."In this regard, it is regrettable that some sections of Nagas have become pawns in the hands of the Government of India and its agencies".
He claimed that the NSCN-IM does not recognize any agreement signed within the Constitution of India-past, present and future.
"Any Nagas and organizations who are promoting and advocating the corrupt version of the Indian State and its agencies, regarding the Amsterdam Joint Communique of July 11, 2002 and the Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015, shall be deemed as traitors to the Naga Nation", Muivah added.
The gathering included elected MLAs of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, religious and social leaders, and representatives from 21 Naga tribes of Manipur.
Leaders from the Muslim and Kuki communities also joined the occasion, presenting gifts as gestures of goodwill and solidarity.
The Rongmei Naga Council of Manipur also gifted a mithun to the Naga leader in a symbolic gesture of honour and unity.
The programme began with a welcome address by NPO president Kuba Peter followed by homage to Neli Chakho and Dikho, who were killed during a 2010 protest against the ban on Muivah's planned visit to Manipur.
Their sacrifice was acknowledged by Mrs Muivah.
Security for the event was jointly managed by the State and Central armed forces, while the inner perimeter was secured by NSCN(IM) cadres known as the Naga Army.
The occasion featured choral presentations by the Maram and Poumai choirs, each with about 1,500 members, along with the Mao and Makuilongdi Lun choirs.
Ministers from various Christian denominations pronounced blessings upon Ato Kilonser by raising their hands in prayer.
Muivah was accompanied by his wife, Deputy Ato Kilonser VS Atem, Naga Army Chief Anthony Ningkhan Shimray, and senior GPRN officials and cadres.
Leaders of all 21 Naga tribes presented gifts, including traditional shawls, citations, shields, and spears.
The Rongmei Naga Council of Manipur's presentation of a mithun stood out for its symbolic significance, representing strength, unity, and honour.
UNC president Ng Lorho read out a three-point declaration reaffirming the collective mandate of the NSCN/GPRN leadership to represent Naga interests in the Indo-Naga political dialogue.
The declaration reiterated the Nagas' commitment to an inclusive, honourable and acceptable solution based on the Framework Agreement signed on August 3, 2015, and emphasized the unity of the Naga people in their shared struggle for self-determination.
Following the programme, Muivah and his entourage departed Senapati in the afternoon for their onward journey to Dimapur, marking the close of a momentous day that strengthened the bond and collective spirit of the Naga people under the enduring leadership of the NSCN(IM) .
In honour of Th Muivah, and as directed by the UNC a few days ago, all forms of activities were halted for the day.
All private educational institutions also remained closed today under the jurisdiction of the UNC.
Programmes such as sports events, meetings and other activities were also halted or postponed today in honour of the NSCN(IM) leader.
