Imphal, February 12, 2011:
Supervisor of a private security agency which provides private security personnel to BTS towers of telecom companies has been abducted by a group of KCP-MC in connection with monetary demand.
Thoubal district supervisor of Delhi-based BCL Security Private Limited Moirangthem Boboy (30) of Kumbi Bazar has not returned home since last morning.
BCL Security Private Limited is a private security agency which provides private security to cellphone service providers like Aircel, Idea, Tata Indicom and Vodafone.
Meanwhile, a press release issued by KCP-MC (Taibanganba) claimed that Boboy is in their custody.
Speaking to media persons this afternoon, BCL Imphal supervisor, on condition of anonymity, said that two youngsters conveyed the news about Boboys abduction to a fishmonger at Kumbi Bazar this afternoon.
He disclosed that KCP-MC demanded Rs 5 crores from Aircel whereas BCL is only private security agency providing security to Aircel.
BCL has one branch office at Guwahati but no top officials are stationed at Imphal.
Nor there is any office for BCL at Imphal.
KCPMC reportedly directed that the demanded amount should be paid by Aircel, BCL, QUIPPO and VIOM together.
There are five BCL supervisors in Manipur and the agency is providing private security to 128 BTS towers.
Following threats from the armed outfit, most of the towers have been shut down since February 7/8. KCP-MC further intimated that the amount should be paid by February 15 and that they (supervisors) should not quit their jobs.
Boboy had lost his father and brother.
He is living with his mother and sister-in-law.
Meanwhile, Boboys mother Surjamani Devi has fervently appealed to all concerned to release her son safely.
On the otherhand, the proscribed KCP-MC has disclosed that Moirangthem Boboy Singh s/o late M Khamba of Kumbi Bazar who works as a supervisor in BCL company has been taken into their custody since 5 pm yesterday.
A press release signed jointly by the outfits commander-in-chief Taibanganba and publicity officer Washington Meitei said that Boboy was taken into their custody for working in BCL company in defiance of the partys restrictions on the company and Aircel, GTL, QUIPPO (WTTIL), VIOM, Sagar and ASTER.
The outfit also claimed that Khundrakpam Thoiba of Nachou Kha Leikai was given capital punishment for violating the partys restrictions by working as a security officer in Sagar (Aircel) company.
Telecom companies -- Vodafone, Idea, LUF, Tata Indicom which are attached to Aircel, GTL, BCL, VIOM, Sagar and QUIPPO (WTTIL) should work to come to an understanding with the party by February 15 failing which the same fate that befell Thoiba may befall upon Boboy too.
All those working for or helping the above listed companies in defiance of the partys prohibitions would be viewed as enemies of the party, it added.
