Kakching, March 27 2025: Kha Manipur Hindusthani Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Kakching organised Sankirtana and Folk Dance Festival at MMS Genius Academy, Kakching on Thursday.

The opening function of the festival was attended by Sangeet Academy, Kakching pradhan guru and JN Manipur Dance Academy, Imphal former visiting guru Kshetrimayum Godadhar as chief guest, while Mahavidyalaya's Executive Committee president Yengkhom Nilachandra, vice president and MMS Genius Academy principal Kshetrimayum Ranjan and principal N Indumukhi Devi were the members on the dais.

During the festival, which was held as part of Mahavidyalaya 2024-2025 programmes under the Ministry of Culture and National School of Drama, artistes of the Mahavidyalaya performed 'Sankirtana Nupa Pala (Kartal Cholom)', 'Maibi Jagoi', 'Sankirtana Nupi Pala' and 'Pung Cholom' .
