Thoubal, March 24 2025: Lamyanba Sangsthan, Manipuri Sahitya Parishad and Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum jointly convened a condolence meeting on Sunday at Manipuri Library and Research Centre, Agartala to mourn the untimely demise of renowned writer, scholar and critic ProfNongmaithem.

It was attended by Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum, advisor RK Tarunjit Singh, Sahitya Parishad, executive member L Kumar and Lamyanba Sangsthan, advisor W Birmangal as presidium members.

The gathering offered floral tribute to the portrait of Prof N Tombi and observed a two-minute silence to pay their respects to the departed soul.

At the event, Kshetrimayum Madhabi, secretary of Lamyanba Sangsthan and L Biramangal, president Sahitya Parishad recalled the contribution of Nongmaithem Tombi in the field of Literature and culture in Tripura.
