Meeyamgi Numit held at Kakching, Kamjong and Bishnupur

Kakching/Kamjong/Bishnupur, February 07 2025:
District Administration of Kakching, Kamjong and Bishnupur organised Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day) at various places of the districts to cater the grievances regarding Government related schemes and other services to facilitate the well-being of the people.
KAKCHING
The District Administration, Kakching, today organised Meeyamgi Numit (People's Day) at the offices of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Kakching and Waikhong, providing essential Government services to the public.
Deputy Commissioner Rohit Anand, LAS and Superintendent of Police, Thokchom Vikramjit Singh, IPS, led the event at the DC Office Complex in Kakching and the SDO Waikhong office.
At the SDO Kakching office, 27 CMHT cards and 35 birth certificates were issued.
The District Forest Office distributed 50 saplings, while the Manipur State Power Development Company Limited (MSPDCL) provided 90 electric bulbs.
Correction of 14 Aadhaar cards was also facilitated.
The Deputy Commissioner Rohit Anand and SP, Thokchom Vikramjit Singh also distributed textbooks and play materials to students and teachers of Kakching Wairi Junior High School.
A total of 365 people registered for services at SDO Kakching and 26 departments provided services to the public.
During the program, the District Social Welfare Office distributed four wheelchairs, three Chief Minister Widow Pension Cards, two walking sticks, four Manipur Old Age Pension Cards, and four Chief Ministergi Shotharabasingi Tengbang Cards.
The District Supply Officer (CAF & PD) also facilitated the renewal and modification of ration cards and addressed inquiries related to the Ujjwala scheme.
At the SDO Waikhong, around 300 applications were received, with 19 departments setting up stalls to address public grievances.
Land Resources Department issued a total of 143 certificates which included income, birth, death and residential certificates.
The Social Welfare Department received 138 applications, 114 for Old Age Cards, 3 for Disability Cards, and 21 for Widow forms, all of which were processed.
ZEO Kakching received 15 applications, all of which were resolved.
The District Agriculture Department received 40 applications, which were also resolved.
The Handloom and Textiles Department received 6 applications.
CAF & PD received 14 applications, all of which were resolved.
The Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department received 4 applications, with 2 were resolved.
Sugnu Municipal Council received 4 applications, all of which were resolved.
ICDS Kakching received 4 applications, which were all resolved.
The District Child Protection Unit received 1 application, which was resolved.
The Health Department received 58 applications, all of which were addressed.
Langmeidong CD Block received 17 applications, out of which 16 were resolved.
The Veterinary Department received 1 application, which was resolved.
Sub-Treasury, PHED, Forest, RD & PR and the Directorate of Craftsmen and Training departments also opened their stalls.
KAMJONG
Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit was conducted today at Kasom Somrei Village, Kamjong District under the supervision of DC Kamjong, Rangnamei Rang Peter.
Addressing the event, DC of Kamjong, Rangnamei Rang Peter assured that each and every concerned department will take up all complaints and grievances to fulfil the needs of the people.
He also urged the concerned department of the services to take up the matters seriously.
On this day, altogether 300 applications were received under various departments including Social Welfare, Health, Education, Veterinary, CAF & PD, Horticulture, Fisheries, MSRLM, Agriculture, DIC, etc.
Benefits under health-related schemes such as PMJAY, CMHT, ABHA were distributed to 40 individuals.
District Social Welfare officers distributed 20 UDID (Unique Disability ID) to the eligible beneficiaries.
More than 40 AADHAAR cards are issued; 20 NFDP and 15 PMMSY are registered under the Fishery department.
Agriculture department received 5 RKVY applications which were resolved on the spot.
10 Soil Health Cards were also distributed on.
More than 80 patients were treated and medicines were distributed free of cost under the medical department.
The education department had also distributed school stationeries and uniforms to 5 Schools.
Later, DC Kamjong, Rangnamei Rang Peter had an open round table meeting with the headmen of Kashung village, Khunthak, Tarong, Kongleiram, Lairamkhul, Khamlang, Kasom Khullen, Kharay Khullen, Somrei, Yesom and Nambashi Khunou and discussed on various developmental issues of the villages.
BISHNUPUR
The District Administration, Bishnupur, led by Deputy Commissioner Lourembam Bikram, successfully organized the first day of Meeyamgi Numit today at the Kumbi Government High School Ground, Terakhong, Kumbi.
The event aims to bring various government services directly to the people of the district.
More than 700 individuals participated in today's event, seeking essential services from more than 33 Government department stalls.
These services included the issuance of birth certificates, PMJAY cards, CMHT cards, Aadhar enrollment, ration card quota inclusion, employment exchange registration, opening of bank accounts and enrolment in Sponshorship Program for CNCP among others.
Departments that took part in the event included the Labour Department, Social Welfare Department, Health Department, CAF&PD, NIC, MSRLM, Education, PHED, Agriculture, Horticulture, and others.
Additionally, financial institutions such as Manipur State Cooperative Bank, Moirang, and Punjab National Bank, Moirang, Manipur Rural Bank, Kumbi and State Bank of India, Moirang were also present to support the citizens' needs.
On the first day of the Meeyamgi Numit, several documents, including ration cards, CMHT cards, Jamabandi copies, and PMJAY cards, were handed over to the public by ADM Bishnupur.
The event will continue tomorrow, February 8, 2025, at the same venue, ensuring more opportunities for people to access these government services.
