IEC campaign under PMJANMAN, DAJGUA concludes successfully across hill districts

The week-long Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign titled "Jan Bhagidaari - Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle", conducted under the PM-JANMAN and Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) initiatives of the Government of India, concluded successfully across several hill districts of Manipur with large-scale public participation and extensive outreach activities.
KAMJONG
In Kamjong district, Deputy Commissioner LN Kashung held a debriefing meeting on Monday following the successful completion of the campaign, which was launched on May 18 at the DC Kamjong Camp Office located at the 2nd MR Complex, Imphal.
The campaign covered 20 villages across four blocks and included 12 Jan Sunwai programmes, nine health camps and 20 transect walks, mobilising around 500 participants.
During the Jan Sunwai programmes, 84 grievances and public issues were recorded, of which 60 cases were resolved on the spot.
The DC informed that 191 persons underwent medical screening during the campaign, while 27 HPV vaccinations and nine routine immunisations were administered.
In addition, 28 pension forms were distributed, two biometric Aadhaar updations facilitated and 212 certificates, including ST .
domicile, income, PRC and birth registration certificates, were issued.
He further stated that plantation drives carried out across various subdivisions resulted in the plantation of 555 saplings, while 113 photographs and two videos documenting campaign activities were uploaded on the Adi Prasaran Portal.
Appreciating the efforts of officials, village authorities and residents, LN Kashung lauded the collective cooperation that ensured successful implementation of the campaign.
KANGPOKPI
The Kangpokpi District Administration also concluded the nationwide IEC campaign successfully with over 4,000 active participants across 60 villages and nine blocks since its launch on May 18.Addressing a press briefing at the Conference Hall of the DC Complex, Deputy Commissioner Mahesh Chaudhari highlighted that more than 12 departments worked in convergence mode through 13 organised camps to deliver essential services including Aadhaar registration, Scheduled Tribe certificates, PM-KISAN e-KYC and PM Ujjwala benefits directly to beneficiaries.
The DC appreciated the cooperation of citizens, Block Development Officers, districtlevel officers and village chiefs under the PM DAJGUA and PM-JANMAN schemes targeting Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs), while expressing hope for similar public participation in future developmental initiatives.
PHERZAWL
In Pherzawl district, the campaign covered 22 villages through 14 service camps and benefited more than 3,000 residents.
Reviewing the outcomes during a debriefing meeting.
Deputy Commissioner Mannuamching stated that the campaign combined Jan Sunwai programmes, health camps and transect walks, enabling direct interaction between officials and villagers while addressing public grievances and service delivery gaps.
Aadhaar enrolment and updation emerged as one of the major attractions during the campaign, with officials delivering 353 Aadhaar services, 334 caste certificates and 260 domicile certificates.
Welfare schemes such as PM-KISAN, Pension Yojana, MGNREGA and Mission Indradhanush were also facilitated during the drive.
Healthcare services formed a major component of the campaign as medical teams conducted health screening camps, consultations and enrolment drives under CMHT and PM-JAY schemes.
A tree plantation drive was also organised as part of environmental conservation efforts.
The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the efforts of departments, field-level staff, village authorities, self-help groups and residents in ensuring effective last-mile delivery of public services.
NONEY
Similarly, Noney district conducted a series of outreach and awareness activities across all four blocks of the district, namely Longmai, Haochong, Nungba and Khoupum.
The campaign included orientation drives, tree plantation programmes, on-the-spot painting competitions, benefits saturation camps, health screening camps, transect walks and awareness drives on welfare schemes for the general public.
During Jan Sunwai programmes held at various Adi Sewa Kendras covering 27 DAJGUA villages, several grievances and demands raised by villagers were recorded for necessary follow-up action.
Speaking to the media on the concluding day, Deputy Commissioner Vidyamari Sridhar highlighted the successful conduct and achievements of the campaign in the district.
CHANDEL
In Chandel district the IEC Campaign under Jan Bhagidari Week concluded on Monday after covering 71 villages under the DAJGUA scheme.
Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner Hemant Kumar said that the awareness drive was conducted from May 18 to May 25 through nine camps organised across the district.
Although 91 villages in Chandel fall under the DAJGUA scheme, the campaign was carried out in 71 villages as 20 villages are currently deserted, he informed.
TAMENGLONG
The Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan also concluded in Tamenglong with a closing remarks delivered by Namthango Kahmei, Assistant Commissioner to the Deputy Commissioner and District Nodal Officer for the programme, at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office.
Launched on May 18, the campaign organised a series of outreach events across 38 villages in the Tamenglong, Tamei and Tousem blocks.
The closing session was attended by D Meidinbui, Sub-Divisional Officer (Tamenglong), along with other departmental line officers.
Officials said the programme strengthened outreach to remote communities and helped coordinate service delivery across multiple government departments.
CHURACHANDPUR
In Churachandpur district, the week-long Jan Sunwai benefit saturation, and health camp held at Songpi village, marked the successfill conclusion of the IEC campaign.
Speaking to media persons, Deputy Commissioner Dharun Kumar S stated that till May 24, a total of 1,994 beneficiaries had availed various services during the IEC Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan across all 89 DAJGUA villages, while 978 VB-RAM-G related issues were resolved.
The services delivered under the campaign included 476 Aadhaar-related services, generation of 82 Ayushman Bharat cards, issuance of 903 on-the-spot caste and tribe certificates, and 93 registrations under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
Other achievements included opening of 50 PMJDY accounts, 79 registrations under PMJJBY, 75 registrations under PMSBY, 44 registrations under Atal Pension Yojana, 39 beneficiaries under PMMVY, 87 beneficiaries under Poshan Abhiyan, and 38 beneficiaries under PMVDY.
In addition, 21 ration cards were issued five beneficiaries were registered under PM Vishwakarma, and two Kisan Credit Cards were generated.
The DC appreciated the efforts of block administrations and line departments in successfully implementing the campaign with extending awareness activities including wall paintings, hoardings, posters, selfie points, and dissemination of information at camp venues, and health camps.
