CRPF pays tribute to braveheart on anniversary of martyrdom

On the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of LNK E Ranjit Singh, 86 Bn CRPF felicitated the braveheart's courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to the CRPF at his home at Lamding Elangbam Leikai, Thoubal.
According to a statement issued by Md Yusuf, Commandant-86 BN, CRPF, Lamphelpat, Imphal, the ceremony was conducted under the aegis of Akhilesh Prasad Singh, IG Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF and under the supervision of the Commandant-86 Battalion CRPF alongwith Rakesh Balwal, IPS and Thoubal SP.
A statue of the martyr was inaugurated and a plaque was unveiled in his honour.
The solemn ceremony was organized to remember his martyrdom on April 20, 2000 where LNK E Ranjit Singh made the supreme sacrifice while fighting with Pak sponsored J&K militants in Jammu & Kashmir.
"It serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring legacy of courage and sacrifice left behind by our brave hearts", added the CRPF statement.
Symbolic gifts were also presented to the next of kin of the martyr as a token of appreciation for the sacrifice made by E Ranjit.
These gifts serve as a small reminder of the profound impact the brave heart has had on the CRPF and its people, said the statement.
As part of the program, a speech was delivered reflecting on the unparalleled bravery and selflessness exhibited by the martyr.
His selfless dedication to duty and his supreme sacrifice were highlighted as inspirations for everyone, reinforcing the values of duty, honor and sacrifice that define the CRPF.
86 Bn CRPF also extended their deepest condolences and unwavering support to the family of the martyr whose strength and resilience continue to inspire everyone.
