Free eye screening & cataract surgery camp held

Bishnupur, March 25 2025: Komol and Kumari Foundation in collaboration with Shija Eye Care Foundation and NPCB (NHM) organised a free eye screening and cataract surgery camp at KnK Ideal School, Thanga Khoirom Ching."The camp was held under the initiative of KnK Foundation, chairman Uttamkumar Ningthoujam.

During the camp, a total number of around 165 individuals from Thanga, Keibul, Chingmei and Chandapur were examined for eye related problems, said a release issued by the Komol and Kumari Foundation.

Those detected with cataract will also be provided the opportunity to perform free cataract surgery and will also bear the hospitalisation charges for 2 days and travelling expenses under PMJAY & NPCB (NHM), said Komol and Kumari Foundation chairman.

The KnK Foundation will also bear the fooding arrangement for those who needed surgery, it said.
