Imphal, March 24 2025: Giving a warm welcome to forty freshers, the Tribal Students' Union, DM College of Arts, DM University celebrated the Fresher's cum Cultural Meet 2025 at JN Dance Academy auditorium on March 22 .

Notable dignitaries gracing the event include Thongam Biswajit, MLA, Thongju AC as the chief guest; Prof S Lanchenba Meetei, Principal, DM College of Arts as the functional president and Dipu Gangmei, MLA, Nungba (ST) and Khashim Vashum, MLA, Chingai (ST) as the guests of honour.

Marking the highlight of the event, 19 year old Camitha Sumpi Anal was crowned Miss Fresher 2025 .

She is a 2nd semester student pursuing BA honours in Economics.

On the other hand, Hmangrengthang Karong Kom was declared Mister Fresher 2025 .

The 19-year old is pursuing BA honours in Education and is currently in the 2nd semester.

The jury panel was made up of well-known and seasoned personalities including Thounaojam Strela Luwang, second runner up at Femina Miss India 2023; Songashim Rungsung, Rubaru Mr India-2021; Lummi Shangchiri, Rubaru Mr India Brand Ambassador-2023 and Thokchom Omena, Orange Queen 2009 and first runner-up at Miss Manipur 2011 .

More than 500 tribal students attended the Freshers' cum Cultural Meet 2025 .
