Imphal, July 18 2024: Locals of Lairenjam Awang Leikai protested against the placing of a hand grenade at the residence of Dr Wahengbam Nimai who is the Principal of Kamakhya Pemton College, today.

The sit in protest was jointly organised by Lairenjam Apunba Meira Paibi Lup, Lairenjam Khul Committee, Lairenjam Sabal United Youth Club, Students Cultural Organization, Nongchup Imphal Seva Club and Young Social Makers Club at Lairenjam Awang Leikai market shed.

Speaking to the media, one Samom Kunjaleima said that they take the bomb threat very seriously.

Condemning the placing of a bomb in a residential area, she appealed to all concerned to never indulge in such activities again.
