Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyan launched across Manipur districts to strengthen last-mile service delivery

District administrations across Manipur on Monday launched the nationwide "Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyan - Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle" campaign aimed at strengthening last-mile delivery of government services and welfare schemes in remote tribal areas.
PHERZAWL
In Pherzawl district, the outreach campaign was formally launched at the DC Conference Hall and will continue from May 18 to 25, covering 22 villages across the district.
The initiative seeks to ensure delivery of essential government services and entitlements directly to residents living in far-flung areas.
Deputy Commissioner Mannuamching described the campaign as a transformative step towards inclusive development and stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among departments.
She identified rural livelihoods, water supply, forest management and healthcare as priority sectors, while adding that health camps and grievance redressal through Jan Sunwai programmes at the SDO level would form a major part of the campaign.
The launch programme was attended by DFO S L Niangthianhoi, Additional Deputy Commissioner Zousanglur Joute, SDO Vangai Lalthanzam Infimate and other district-level officers.
KANGPOKPI
The Kangpokpi District Administration also launched the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign "Jan Bhagidaari Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle" at the Conference Hall of the DC Complex.
Addressing the gathering, Additional Deputy Commissioner Lamminlal Simte called for strong coordination among line departments, Sub-Divisional Officers and community stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful delivery of welfare benefits throughout the week-long campaign.
Tracing the initiative to the launch of the PM DA-JGUA and PM JANMAN schemes by the Prime Minister on October 2, 2024, the ADC said the campaign in Kangpokpi would run from May 18 to 25, covering 59 villages grouped into 16 operational clusters across nine development blocks.
Officials informed that the campaign includes 25 policy interventions spanning 17 Central Ministries under the PM DASGVA framework, along with 11 additional interventions from nine ministries under the PM JANMAN scheme.
TAMENGLONG
The Janjatiya Garima Utsav 2026 Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyan was launched at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Tamenglong under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
The programme was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner and campaign nodal officer Namthango Kahmei in the presence of CEO ADC Tamenglong Kachamthai F Gangmei, SDO Tamenglong D Meidinbui, Chief Medical Officer Dr Majachunglu and officers from various line departments.
Under the outreach initiative, services will be extended to 38 villages in the DA-JGUA cluster, while health camps will be organised in six cluster villages.
The first programme will be held at Dailong Community Hall on May 19 for residents of Sonram, Tharon and Dailong villages.
The campaign will continue till May 25 .
SENAPATI
Joining the nationwide initiative, the District Administration Senapati launched the IEC campaign under the theme "Jan Bhagidaari - Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle" at the DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati.
Speaking at the programme, Additional Deputy Commissioner-cum-Project Director, DRDA Senapati, PP Ronald said the week-long campaign would cover all blocks and villages in the district under PM-JANMAN and DA-JGUA.
He emphasised the need to disseminate information regarding government schemes and entitlements among tribal communities and ensure convergence of services across departments.
He outlined activities planned during the campaign, including saturation drives, plantation drives, Jan Sunwai programmes and village immersion drives, and urged SDOs, BDOs and officials of line departments to actively coordinate for successful implementation.
The programme was attended by CEO/ADC Senapati Adahrii Maheo, BDO Phaibung James Panii, BDO Paomata Sheveine, BDO Willong S Plim Reikhenamai, BDO Tadubi P Lophro, Campaign Nodal Officer Nehemiah Rong and other district-level officers and staff.
CHANDEL
In Chandel district, the District Administration officially launched the IEC campaign under DA-JGUA at the Conference Hall, Chandel, under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
Launching the programme, Additional Deputy Commissioner Md Firoz Khan, stated that the campaign would be conducted in 91 villages across three blocks of the district from May 18 to 25 to ensure awareness, enrolment and delivery of benefits under various government schemes.
The district administration directed all SDOs, BDOs, district-level officers and stakeholders to organise campaign activities in identified villages and ensure wide publicity of the initiative.
JIRIBAM
Deputy Commissioner of Jiribam Krishna Kumar launched the IEC campaign "Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyan - Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle" at the conference hall of the DC Office, Chingdong Leikai, Jiribam.
In Jiribam district, three villages - Chotobekra, Bhutangkhal and Jairolpokpi - have been identified for the campaign.
Orientation drives for district, block and village-level officers conducted by the Deputy Commissioner formed a major highlight of the programme.
Planned activities include entitlement drives, saturation camps, health screening camps, village immersion drives through transect walks, Jan Sunwai grievance redressal programmes and fast-track resolution of entitlement issues.
The launching programme was attended by SDO Jiribam L Tarajeet Singh, Chief Medical Officer Dr Vinay Prashad Sahu, District Nodal Officer RK Sailash Singh and other concerned IEC members of the district.
