RIMS hosts "Hindi Noting and Drafting" workshop

Imphal, March 24 2025: The Official Language Cell of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, successfully organized a Hindi workshop on "Hindi Noting & Drafting" at Banting Hall, RIMS, Imphal.

According to a press release issued by the media cell of RIMS, Imphal, the workshop aimed to enhance the Hindi language proficiency of officials and staff, particularly in official noting and drafting.

Professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma, Director of RIMS, Imphal, graced the Hindi Noting & Drafting workshop as chief guest, emphasizing the importance of linguistic diversity and inclusivity in his address.

He highlighted the need to preserve India's multilingual heritage for equal opportunities and better Communication in research and healthcare.

Professor N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital, Imphal, presided over the event as president.

Prominent academicians, including Professor Rajkumar Mobi Singh, Head" of the Department of Hindi, Dhanamanjuri University and Professor Akhilesh Kumar Shankhdhar, Head of the Department of Hindi, Manipur University, attended the workshop as guests of honour and shared valuable insights on the importance of indi in official communication.

The Hindi Noting & Drafting workshop covered various aspects of official noting and drafting in Hindi, emphasizing the practical application of the language in administrative work, added the press release.

The participants actively engaged in discussions and interactive sessions, gaining in-depth knowledge and skills to improve their Hindi communication in official documentation.

The Hindi Noting & Drafting workshop concluded with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the efforts of the organizers, resource persons, and participants for making the workshop a successful and productive initiative in promoting the use of Hindi in official communication at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal.
