7-day FDP on New Curriculum 2025 concludes at Mt Everest College

The seven-day Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "New Curriculum 2025: Manipur University FYUP based on NEP, 2020" concluded successfully at Mount Everest College, Senapati, on Monday.
The programme was organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Mount Everest College, in collaboration with the Directorate of University and Higher Education, Government of Manipur, and the College Development Council (CDC), Manipur University.
It was held from January 27 to February 2, 2026, in hybrid mode.
The valedictory session, held at the college Smart Hall, was graced by Prof Hanjabam Shukhdeba Sharma, Director, College Development Council, Manipur University, as chief guest.

M Tomba, PRO, Mount Everest College, attended as guest of honour, while Dr Gonmei Meithuanlungpou, Vice Principal, Mount Everest College, presided over the programme.
Addressing the gathering, Prof Sharma highlighted the importance of equipping faculty members with a clear understanding of the revised curriculum framework under NEP 2020 .
He lauded the initiative of the IQAC, Mount Everest College, for organising a timely and meaningfid FDP, noting that constant changes in syllabus pose challenges for both teachers and students, making such orientation programmes essential.
The seventh day featured a revision and feedback session conducted by Dr Gonmei Meithuanlungpou, followed by an interactive discussion moderated by Asst Prof Kaluba Paul of the Dept of Botany, Mt Everest College.
The programme concluded with the valedictory session, felicitation of dignitaries, a vote of thanks proposed by Asst Prof Niomchung Jatak, IQAC Coordinator and FDP Coordinator, and the National Anthem.
An MCQ-based assessment test was later conducted for certification of participants.
In his message, the guest of honour remarked that NEP 2020 inspires educators towards lifelong knowledge, stating that teachers are the architects of the nation's future and catalysts of change.
The FDP covered key themes including NEP 2020, FYUP structure, Learning Outcome-based Curriculum Framework (LOCF), blended learning, research orientation, and examination and evaluation reforms, aiming to strengthen faculty preparedness under the new regulation.
The sessions were conducted by eminent resource persons such as Prof Soibam Jibonkumar Singh, Chairman, Committee for Implementation of NEP 2020 (UG), Manipur University; Prof Hanjabam Shukhdeba Sharma; Prof N Sanjoy Singh, Principal, Liberal College; Prof H Basantakumar Sharma, Physics Department and SWAYAM Nodal Officer, Manipur University; Khuraijam Dineshkumar Singh, Associate Professor, DM College of Teacher Education; Suchitra Wangkhem, Assistant Registrar (Examination), Manipur University; and Dr Gonmei Meithuanlungpou.
A total of 164 faculty members from various colleges affiliated with Manipur University registered for the programme.
On the final day, 124 participants attended in hybrid mode, including 44 physical and 81 online.
Highlighting the objectives of the FDP, Niomchung Jatak Chiru stated that the programme was designed to provide clarity on admission procedures, examination reforms, and evaluation mechanisms under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP) framework.
He expressed gratitude to the college authorities, collaborating institutions, resource persons, faculty participants, moderators, and technical teams for their support.
