Imphal, February 23 2011: Following an order issued by Chandel DC H Deleep Singh, Kwatha Village Development Authority has suspended the Chandel district bandh.

Chairman of the Village Authority, Angom Amu Singh said that the bandh had also been suspended in view of the 3rd Lamyamba Hijam Irawat Memorial Invitation Football Tournament to be held at Moreh town.

He added that intense agitation would be launched from the midnight of March 10 with the help of people from different communities and NGOs if land demarcation is not completed by March 9 .
