AR organises seminar on peace and development in CCpur

27 Sector Assam Rifles today organised a seminar on the topic, 'Peace and development in Conflict' in association with Lions Club of Churachandpur at Synod hall here.
Selected individuals from all walks of life presented a 15 minutes paper each on nine topics relating to peace and development in conflict areas.
JL Sawmi, President of Joint Women Organisation presented a paper on 'Voice of Women in conflict' .
Bishop Mung spoke on 'Church contribution towards peace in society' and Sister Maria on 'Impact of conflict on education' .
S Singlianmang Guite spoke on 'Media challenges in conflict resolution', and R Sanga on 'Role of NGO on conflict situation' .
K Vungzamawi spoke on 'Community participation in strengthening security and development' and Liankhogin Simte on 'Responsibilities and tasks of student organisations in conflict situation' Cecilia Maman on 'Importance of empowering women in conflict and Joycy Larinpui on 'The success story of NREGA in Churachandpur' .
Among others in attendance at the jam packed seminar hall were Brig Surender Mehta of 27 Sector AR, Brig George, SP and Additional SP of Churachandpur, CSO and student leaders, medical practitioners and church leaders.
