Faculty Development Programme concludes

A 8-Day Faculty Development Programme for faculties and scientists of Central Agriculture University (CAU), Imphal concluded today at the conference hall of the College of Agriculture (CoA), Iroisemba.
The programme held under the theme "Developing Successful Research Grant Proposals", aimed to develop skills for developing research proposals that focus on improving farmers' livelihoods and promote a culture of collaborative, interdisciplinary & institutional project development.
The valedictory function was graced by dignitaries, including Dr Anupam Mishra, Vice-Chancellor, CAU, Imphal; Prof Indira Sarangthem, DI, CAU, Imphal; Dr S K Chaturvedi, DR; Rani Lakshmibai, CAU, Jhansi; Dr Lalita Mohan Gamayak, DR, CAU, Imphal; and Prof N Brajendra Singh, Dean, CoA, Imphal.
The function began with a welcome address by Prof Indira Sarangthem.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr L M Gamayak emphasized the importance of organising the Faculty Induction and Development Programme and its role in acquiring funds and grants from various funding agencies to improve the livelihoods of farmers in Northeast India.
Dr SK Chaturvedi discussed the importance of integrating new technologies and the need for collaboration among multiple institutes.
He also mentioned that the CAU's Faculty Development Programme is an excellent platform to help the faculty members become dynamic teachers and researchers.
Dr N Brajendra Singh discussed the importance of acquiring projects and publishing papers in indexed journals.
Dr Anupam Mishra highlighted the latest mission of the university to enhance teaching by adopting innovative new technologies.
He urged all the participants to utilize the knowledge gained from the programme for the welfare of the university.
During the event, dignitaries released a compiled book on "Two Weeks FDP on Augmenting Teaching Management Skills Using Innovative Technologies" .
A total of 22 faculty scientists participated in the Faculty Development Programme.
19 eminent experts shared their expertise in the technical sessions held over the eightday programme.
