Many distribute warm clothes to conflict survivors

Continuing its humanitarian services, Seva Bharati Manipur distributed blankets to children of Compassion Children Ministries (CCM) Orphanage at Karong under Senapati district today.
To help them in keeping warm during the colder months, Seva Bharati Manipur distributed 150 blankets to support the well-being of children in need of care and protection, who are staying at the orphanage, said a statement by Seva Bharati Manipur.
The local leaders and functionaries of the orphanage appreciated the initiative of Seva Bharati Manipur and said that it reflected Seva Bharati's dedication to making a positive impact on vulnerable communities.
Speaking at the occasion, Asokan Musaliyatmelangadi, a senior functionary of Seva Bharati Manipur said, 'We believe in the power of collective kindness, and by providing blankets to orphanages, we aim to contribute to the health and happiness of the children under their care' .

Seva Bharti is committed to its mission of serving humanity and creating a positive change in the lives of those who need it the most, he added.
Meanwhile, Seva Bharati Manipur in association with various organizations also distributed educational kits and jackets to 278 internally displaced students who are currently staying at ten relief centres established in Chandpur, Keibul, Chingmei, Moirang Khunou, Moirang Khunou and Thangalawai areas under Bishnupur district.
Kakching
Blankets and medicines were distributed to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Ema Nungthong Lairembee Relief Camp, Sugnu Makha Community Hall Relief Camp, and village volunteers of Sugnu today.
The blankets were sent from Punjab, by Punjab cadre Indian Forest Service officer, Basanta Raj Kumar, who hails from Manipur, and the medicines were received from MitSna, a non-profit group empowered by undergraduate and graduate students of Manipur origin spread across India and the globe.
Ringo Pebam and Alex Phairembam, who went to distribute the aid, said that the makeshift wall of Ema Nungthong Lairembee relief camp is made only half using tarpaulin; and if anyone wants to help, plastic tarpaulin or green-house net can be donated to cover up the open/ hollow space and make the makeshift half-wall full, to stop the cold wind from coming inside the Ema Nungthong Lairembee laikon where the IDPs sleep, said a statement.
On the other hand, in a collaborative effort, MLA of Kakching AC, Mayanglambam Rameshwar and the Art of Living, Manipur Chapter distributed warm clothes to six relief camps in the Kakching area yesterday.
During the distribution drive, winter apparels and blankets were distributed to the conflict survivors taking refuge at the relief camps of Kalyan Ashram Kakching, Yumbi Macha High School, Kakching Wairi Kongoi Community Hall, Kha Manipur College , Old Age Home and Indoor Stadium.
Speaking in connection with the distribution drive, Rajaque Rahman said that as a part of the 'Spread the Warmth' campaign initiated by Art of Living, winter clothes are being distributed to various relief camps across the crisis-stricken Manipur.
Apart from distributing the relief materials, awareness programmes on maintaining hygiene and to promote a healthy lifestyle were also conducted.
It is worth mentioning that the conflict survivors are facing inconveniences in tackling the cold at relief camps during this winter season due to lack of warm clothes and other adequate facilities amid the prevailing tense situation in the State.
