State remains Covid free for second day

Imphal, May 21 2022: After all the three remaining active cases had recovered yesterday, there is no new Covid-19 positive case in the State.

Altogether 134 samples were tested during the last 24 hours and all of them turned out to be negative.Nonetheless, the pandemic has already claimed 2120 lives in the State.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the State stands at 1,37,230 (general population 1,32,216 and Central security personnel 5,014) .

This figure includes 1,35,110 recovered cases (general population 1,30,103 and Central security personnel 5,007) .

The recovery rate is 98.45 per cent.

Taking into account 2215 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,82,427 (first dose 15,66,559, second dose 12,22,457 and precautionary dose 93,411) .

Till Friday, 61.82 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received the first dose of Covid vaccine while 51.92 per cent has been given both the first and second dose.
