Together with family members of the victims, members of the JAC held a meeting with Chief Minister Y Khemchand at the Chief Minister's Secretariat at 3 pm.

Nonetheless, the meeting agreed to hold another round of talks tomorrow afternoon, he said.
The JAC's charter of demands include arresting the perpetrators of the Tronglaobi terror attack which murdered two sleeping infants and inflicted critical injuries to their mother, and awarding them exemplary punishment.
Another key demand of the JAC is launching a decisive military crackdown against Kuki militants.
Military operations carried out at Tronglaobi, Uyungpokpi, Moirangpokpa Ibudhou and P Gelmol cannot be equated to the military crackdown being demanded by the people, Gouro said.
He said that they asked the Chief Minister to publish in the media all the evidence of carrying out a decisive military crackdown against Kuki militants.
The JAC also appealed to the Chief Minister to shift Central security forces away from the peripheral areas of the valley toward hills, and station State forces in the peripheral areas of the valley.
Even though the Government assured to look into the appeal, the Chief Minister did not give a concrete reply.
On the JAC's demand to extend necessary assistance to the families of the deceased victims of the Tronglaobi incident as well as to the injured victims, the State Government maintained that they have been working on the same demand, the advisor told media persons.
The JAC also demanded a transparent enquiry and some concrete actions against the CRPF and 2nd JAKLI troops who are stationed around Tronglaobi village.
The JAC made it clear that there will be an indefinite economic blockade on Tiddim Road and the bodies of the deceased victims will not be claimed until their demands are translated into action, Gouro said.
Even though the Chief Minister and other Government officials listened attentively to the JAC's demands, the meeting could not arrive at any agreement.
The advisor said that the JAC will take a decision based on the outcome of the meeting scheduled tomorrow.
He also appealed to all the people of Manipur to see that justice is done to all the victims of the Tronglaobi incident.
Notably, a five-year-old boy and his five-month-old sister were killed in a bomb attack carried out by Kuki terrorists in the wee hours of April 7, 2026, and their mother suffered critical injuries.
Shocked and aggrieved by the murder of the two sleeping toddlers, a large number of people protested at the nearby CRPF camp but the CRPF troops responded by opening indiscriminate fire, killing three civilians and injuring many others on the same day.
Taking to social media, Chief Minister Y Khemchand said "Met with the family members and representatives of the JAC of the Tronglaobi incident at my official bungalow today, in the presence of Hon'ble Home Minister Shri K Govindas Singh and Hon'ble MLAs .
We shared in the profound grief, shock, and trauma caused by the heinous incident of Tronglaobi.
"I conveyed my deepest condolences and assured them that the Government stands firmly with the bereaved families in this difficult time.
"The investigation is progressing with utmost seriousness, and I reaffirmed that justice will be delivered at the earliest.
Once the perpetrators are identified, due process of law will be strictly followed, and appropriate action will be taken to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice in accordance with the law" .
