From 2 to 3, Yaiskul blast toll adds 1 more widow, orphans

With one more injured victim succumbing today, the death toll of the Yaiskul bomb blast has reached three.
Van driver Laishram Rajen (48) s/o L Jatra of Singjamei Naorem Leikai succumbed to his injuries at Shija Hospital at around 4.30 pm today.
Rajen who sustained injuries in yesterday's bomb blast was first admitted at RIMS but he was shifted to Shija Hospital as his condition became critical.
The corpse has been deposited at RIMS mortuary.
Meanwhile, corpses of van drivers Brojen and Holnung have been handed over to their respective families after post mortem at RIMS today.
Before the corpses were taken to their respective homes for the last rites, they were brought to the blast site where people, particularly members of the JAC Imphal-Moreh Road Transporters and Drivers Union and the All Manipur Road Transport Drivers and Motor Workers Union paid floral tributes to the departed souls.

Protest demonstrations were also staged there where a series of slogans were also chanted.
Laishungbam Brojen of Andro Bazar but staying at Palace Gate is survived by his wife and a two year old daughter.
Holnung Touthang of Bijang village, Sugnu but staying at Langol Games Village is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
Meanwhile, the State Government, taking serious note of the recent spate of bomb blast at Imphal, has launched a routine search operation in all sensitive areas of the capital city including the surrounding areas of Raj Bhavan, Chief Minister's bungalow, Secretariat etc.
The search operations would be conducted twice in a day; one in the morning and again in the afternoon in view of the popular festivals lined up in the coming days.
Another source informed that Manipur Police would launch special bomb tracking and disposal exercise with sniffing dogs and bomb squads of paramilitary forces and army.
In the meantime, DGP MK Das has instructed that no police personnel should use mobile phones while on duty except their team commanders.
