'Restore normalcy'

The 7th National Conference of All India State Government Employees' Confederation (AISGEC) has resolved to urge the Government to restore normalcy in Manipur with serious intervention of the relevant authorities.
Reportedly, the National Conference of AISGEC was held at Moha in Punjab from October 20 to 22 and the gathering took several resolutions pertaining to the crisis in Manipur.
Speaking to the media at Manipur Press Club today, president of AISGEC Manipur Unit M Joykumar said that the conference held in Punjab had a threadbare discussion on the Manipur crisis.
He said that the gatherings unanimously condemned the lack of responsiveness from the Centre and Manipur Government on the rehabilitation and resettlement works of the displaced people.
Saying that the conference further agreed to urge the Government to let the Government employees including those in the teaching profession work at safer places, he continued that they also took a collective stand against the implementation of New Pension Scheme.
The conference of AISGEC also agreed to hand over the copy of the resolutions taken to Governors, Chief Ministers and Ministers concerned of their respective States he said and added that they will also submit the resolutions to the Union Ministers in February.
The conference was attended by over 340 employees, including 11 from Manipur.
