CCpur police registers FIR against ITLF Gen Secy

Imphal, November 17 2023: Churachandpur police station has registered an FIR against Indigenous Tribal Leaders' Forum (ITLF) general secretary Muan Tombing.

According to a report, Muan Tombing has been accused of conspiring to wage or attempting to wage war or abetting waging of war against the Government of India, sedition and wantonly giving provocation with intent to cause communal riots.

The FIR under Section 121-A/124-A/153/120-B of IPC was filed by Churachandpur PS OC inspector N Thangzamuan on Thursday.

It may be mentioned here that ITLF has been one of the active organisations in the on-going conflict.

ITLF general secretary Muan Tombing, during a rally in Churachandpur on November 15, had declared that a self-government with its requisite departments will be set up in Manipur, separate from the state government, if the demands of the Kuki-Zo people were not honoured in two weeks' time.
