Free medical camps held

A free medical camp was conducted at L Hengjol village playground under New Keithelmanbi Police Station in Kangpokpi district organised by 69 Battalion CRPF in coordination with Kuki Students Organization (KSO) .
The medical camp was organised under the aegis of Akhilesh Prasad Singh, IGP Manipur and Nagaland Sector CRPF as a part of the ongoing civic action programme with an aim to provide healthcare facilities to the deprived and needy villagers in view of the prevailing conflict situation in the State, said a press release by 69 Bn CRPF.
Around 170 villagers were examined for various ailments by the Medical Officer (MO) of 69 Bn CRPF and free medicines were also distributed.
Speaking at the occasion, 69 Bn Commandant CRPF apprised the gathering that CRPF has been conducting civic action programmes to extend help to uplift the living standard of the society, said the release.
On the other hand, a free health camp was held at Lamdeng Khunou today organised jointly by Lamdeng Khunou Mamang Leikai Development Committee and Luwang E Women Development Welfare Association.
The health camp was organised under the aegis of Leima Chanu Nawa Tengbang Lup on the theme 'Leave no one behind'.
In today's, the villagers were examined of their health issues and facilities for free medical tests were provided.
In addition to the above, free medicines were also distributed and health awareness talk was also held.
